Today Eva de Bruijn gave us an informative presentation on Elections in the Netherlands, mainly Municipal elections. Thanks to her, we got to understand a lot of things when it comes to municipal elections. Who are there in the City Council to what their roles are to how internationals can participate? Being internationals, it was good for us to know that when the requirements (have lived in the Netherlands for 5 years, uninterrupted, for instance) is fulfilled internationals are eligible to vote.
Thank you, Nikita, Siaran and Yolima, for joining in today. It’s always nice to see you all. The afterwards conversation was perfect way to end the meetup.
If you also want to know about Municipal elections, here are a few links shared by Eva.
