AGENDA#16, 23 APRIL

Thank you, Audrey Fournier, Nikita and Viviana Gonzalez, for joining in today, and sharing your ideas. Today was a very productive step towards our next step to preparation and planning.🤗🙏

We visited the Pennings Foundation, met Anke, Irma and Maxime from the foundation. They gave us a tour of the space where we will be having our project. Then, together we all explored over the things and ideas that could be incorporated during the Photo-exhibition. For instance, photos on Wedding rituals, displaying something connected to the wedding, recording our story, and others.

And above all, we know the dates for the exhibition now.😊 It will be from 26th of June till 17th of July. So, we have until 14th of May to collect necessary materials from our side. And then we will visit them on 21st of May to discuss further.

AGENDA#15, 15 APRIL

Thank you, Audrey Fournier, Advaita Kaul, and Nikita, for giving an extensive productive discussion.🤗🙏

We covered different topics connected to the Photo-exhibition; shared our ideas. Basically created a bit of visualization of it. It was wonderful to hear all those ideas. And it was lovely journeying through the journey with GiT. Happy that we met each other and build up this friendship that plays an important part in our life. Looking forward to building more adventures and memories together.

Thank you all for sharing the energy.

AGENDA#14, 08 & 09 APRIL

Audrey: Hi ladies! Today with Laura, we went to the Achtse Barrier Park, mostly because it was close to Laura’s new place and she didn’t have the opportunity to explore the area yet. Fortunately, we found a mural !Well, the story behind it is kind of sad, the young man on it, Jano, died at 20 because of a car accident and two of his friends painted this mural in his memory.

Aside of this mural we also saw a small (communal ?) garden and the park itself is very nice and quiet. We discussed about the crazy house market in Eindhoven, about the difficulty to go out to walk or run in winter and about the fact that all the streets around the park are named after places in France (mostly cities but also regions). We went through Angoulêmehof and I told Laura that Angoulême is a city where there is a renowned French comic festival every year. After the beginning of the week with the snow, I was quite low in energy but after our meeting I felt recharged 😊 Thank you Laura!

Nikita: Binda and I met at Primark, near Eindhoven Centraal and walked through Kruisstraat tunnel connecting the Piazza to Kruisstraat. And wow did we stumble upon a landscape of murals, art and history. In fact it took us a good hour to just go through this tunnel, which I have crossed in seconds on a bike several times!

Megha had to help us contact each other in the beginning due to some connectivity issues, and we realised about Megha and Advaita had just visited the area. We tried to click photographs of the opposite wall of the tunnel and hopefully our photos combined will cover the whole tunnel. 😋We talked about our journeys to Eindhoven, cuisines, maternity, travelling and culture of India and Indonesia. Thank you Binda for a great time and a fun meeting!

Advaita: Megha and I met this afternoon and happened to spot snow here and there, both of us were visibily surprised the snow had survived 🤣 this harsh 10 degrees weather. It was fun to catch up after a long time.We realized many of the art works were done in collaboration with design/ art academies of Eindhoven. Nice to get a chance to pause and appreciate the efforts of the artists and talk about what it represents.

It was wonderful to hear how your day went with one another while exploring some mural arts. Thank you, Audrey Fournier, Advaita Kaul, Binda Anissa, Lao Guerrero, and Nikita, for joining in and sending me all those lovely pictures.🤗😘🙏

AGENDA#13, 01 APRIL

Today we had our meetup earlier than usual. And wow! We had a very progressive meeting today with Petra and Anke from the Pennings Foundation. We updated over the idea behind the photo-exhibition and the stories we have collected so far. Most importantly, we set a tentative time for our exhibition: End of June this year.

We also decided to meet at the Foundation on Friday, 23rd April to meet each other in person (keeping corona measures in mind) and see the space. In the meantime, we will collect stories, if people would like to share; and brainstorm ideas on what activities to integrate in the exhibition.

Thank you, Audrey, Binda, Laura, and Nikita, for participating today and sharing your ideas.🤗🙏 Happy to say that we are moving forward and looking forward to working together. We will keep each other updated.

AGENDA#12, 25 MARCH

Thank you Audrey, Nikita and Binda for sharing about your meetup last week. Happy to hear your stories and share them here.😊

Nikita: We went to the food trucks near Sint Trudokerk. But then we didn’t feel like eating and rode to this park near the former Philips stadium, which also had a boulder for rock climbing. Audrey also showed me around the Strijp-S area and I have to say she knows a lot about Eindhoven. We also talked about how we landed up in Eindhoven and it was nice spending time with her.

Audrey: Hi! We first went to Sint Trudoplein to check the Thursday food trucks (fish truck, chicken truck, cheese truck and Vietnamese truck); we then went to the Evoluon (We forgot to take a pic) and then to the nearby park (Jacob Oppenheimerpark) where we sat for a while. We discussed about Eindhoven, about the corona times of course, and about our hopes that the vaccine will bring an end to it, so that we can enjoy the city life fully. We then went home, with a little detour to Strijp-S (the feel good market square). We also discussed that we felt lazy before meeting each other, but we had a lovely time and agreed that it was worth it 😊

Binda: Hi guys! 🤗 I’ll also share mine! Yesterday for the first time I met someone from GIT and she is.. Megha! We met in a park near Strijp-S in a perfect weather, share some stories and also share chocolate cake.🤩Megha told me about the first time she came to NL and how she adapted here (which I will learn a lot). We also shared stories about our own culture in Nepal and Indonesia. We found that both Nepal and Indonesia have some similar local wisdoms and we are also excited to have our own life here in NL.😊

It’s beautiful to meet someone and share some stories 🥰🥰🥰
